A drip bag is essentially a scaled-down pour-over dripper. You hang it on the rim of your cup and let hot water flow downward through the coffee bed. As water passes through the grounds and filter paper, it extracts flavor cleanly and clearly. The result is a cup that’s bright, transparent, and well-structured.

1. Secure the drip bag on your cup and open the top.

Because the water flows through the coffee bed, most oils and fines are retained by the filter paper and grounds. This gives the cup high clarity and a well-defined aroma profile—very much like a café-style pour-over, just in a compact form.
For those without a grinder, drip bags are the closest thing to true pour-over practice. When you eventually fall in love with this pouring rhythm, that’s the perfect time to invest in a grinder.

Immersion brewing follows a completely different logic. Instead of water passing through the grounds, the coffee and water steep together for a period of time. Once extraction is complete, you simply lift the bag out.
Best for:
● Busy professionals and students who want something quick, consistent, and good in the morning
● Those who prefer a fuller, smoother mouthfeel and fewer steps
● Anyone looking for an easy coffee gift for beginners
Simple brewing guide:
1. Place the immersion bag in your cup and add the recommended amount of hot water.
2. Gently swirl to fully submerge the coffee.
3. Steep for 3–4 minutes. You may lift and lower the bag occasionally to increase extraction.
4. Remove the bag and let it drip naturally for about 10 seconds (do not squeeze).
Because the grounds remain in contact with water for a longer time, more coffee oils are extracted. Combined with the concentrated liquid released from inside the bag when lifting it, you’ll often see a light sheen of oils on the surface. The result is a cup that feels richer, smoother, and more full-bodied. On the flip side, immersion brewing may bring a slight sense of fines and mild turbidity—this is part of its character. It’s perfect for those who love a round, comforting cup or need maximum convenience.
濾掛 vs 浸泡包:怎麼挑?
