磨豆機保養 Coffee Grinder Maintenance

 

當咖啡喝起來雜味變多、苦澀味跑出來,有時候不是沖煮不好、而是該清理磨豆機了。咖啡在研磨中難免會殘留咖啡粉,殘粉長久存在磨刀盤中會造成油漬,會堵塞磨豆機並產生異味雜味。

When you start noticing more off-flavors and bitter tastes in your coffee, it may not always be due to improper brewing but rather a sign that your coffee grinder needs cleaning. During the grinding process, coffee residue can accumulate and remain in the grinding burrs, leading to oil buildup and the development of unpleasant odors and flavors.

 

磨豆機的每個接觸到咖啡豆的部位,都要不定期清理,像是下豆時的豆倉、磨刀盤、裝磨好粉的粉倉等。當拆下並清理過磨刀盤後,記得要對磨豆機進行歸零矯正,即聽到刀盤相互磨到的聲音時、往回一格,就是歸零的刻度。定期清理磨豆機,讓品嚐功夫更精緻。

Every part of the coffee grinder that comes into contact with coffee beans needs regular cleaning. This includes the bean hopper, grinding burrs, and the container where the ground coffee is stored. When you remove and clean the grinding burrs, make sure to recalibrate the grinder to zero. This means adjusting the burrs to the point where you hear them slightly touching and then moving them back one notch. Regularly cleaning your coffee grinder ensures a more refined coffee experience.
