Rising temperatures have accelerated the spread of leaf rust, even in high-altitude regions that were previously protected by cooler climates. Additionally, alternating extreme rainfall and drought conditions weaken coffee trees' resistance to disease. In response, research institutions and coffee farmers worldwide are actively developing disease-resistant coffee varieties to ensure sustainable coffee production and maintain quality.

Disease Resistance: Highly resistant to coffee leaf rust

Adaptability: Suitable for low- to mid-altitude regions

Key Features: Due to its high yield and strong disease resistance, Catimor is a vital choice for regions affected by global warming and leaf rust. However, compared to other Arabica varieties, its flavor complexity is relatively simple, making it more suitable for mass production.

起源地: 肯亞,台灣多種植此品種
風味特徵: 黑加侖、莓果風味,酸質活潑
抗病性:SL28耐旱但抗病性差,SL34較耐濕但抗病性低
特色: 高品質且風味明亮,但隨著暖化影響,抗病性弱點逐漸凸顯。
