精品咖啡與其他咖啡不同，因為精品咖啡是在完美的海拔、一年中的正確時間、最好的土壤中種植的，然後在正確的時間採摘。所有這些都轉化為世界上最令人興奮和最美味的咖啡。

Specialty coffee is different from other coffees because specialty coffee is grown at the perfect altitude, at the right time of year, in the best soil, and then picked at the right time. All this transfers into the most exciting and delicious coffee in the world.

精品咖啡協會SCA定義，以杯測分數在100分制中得分高於80分的咖啡；一般來說，精品咖啡種植在高海拔地區，受到農民的悉心照料；它以高價出售給咖啡貿易商，或直接出售給烘焙商；烘焙師為每種咖啡創建最適合該批豆子的烘焙方式，增強和突顯它們的天然風味；咖啡師通常使用高精度和專業設備來沖煮咖啡。精品咖啡是一系列優質服務的串聯，確保喝的人會喝得到咖啡品質，並且是有系統的去評鑑其品質。

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) defines coffee as a coffee with a cup score higher than 80 out of 100. In general, specialty coffee is grown at high altitudes and cared for by farmers. It is sold to coffee traders at high prices or sell directly to roasters. Roasters create for each coffee the best roasting method for the batch of beans, enhancing and accentuating their natural flavors. Baristas typically brew coffee using high precision and specialized equipment. Specialty coffee is a series of high-quality services to ensure that people who drink it will get the quality of coffee, and its quality is systematically evaluated.
