帕卡斯咖啡豆特色
帕卡斯(Pacas) -屬於波旁(Bourbon)品系,亦即波旁的自然變種(Mutation)。 最早在1949年薩爾瓦多Santa Ana產區的帕卡斯家族發掘與選拔出來。型態上與波旁最大的差異是植株較矮,結果成串,產量豐富,且風味表現佳,因此常被用做育種的基礎。最有名的案例,便是帕卡斯與象豆(Maragogype)的育種後代-帕卡瑪拉(Pacamara)。
Pacas is a natural mutation of the Bourbon variety. It was first discovered and selected by the Pacas family in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador in 1949. The most significant difference between Pacas and Bourbon is its shorter plant height, clustered fruit-bearing pattern, high yield, and excellent flavor profile. Due to these qualities, it is often used as a breeding base. The most famous example of this is the hybrid between Pacas and Maragogype, known as Pacamara.
